Mavis held tightly onto Hiccup's hand. The dark side of town frightened her. She could never tell what was lurking in the shadows. A cold breeze ruffled her hair and she shivered. "Pitch?" She called with uncertainty and the male emerged from the trees. "Mavis!" He sounded so relieved. "You came!'

Hiccup's hand tightened with Mavis's when Pitch approached. Not only was he older and taller, he looked powerful. Hiccup wasn't afraid of him however, he was only concerned for Mavis's sake. Hiccup glanced at her stomach for confidence to keep his cool around Pitch. He stood there silently with Mavis, waiting for her to speak first.

"Of coarse I came." Everything was silent for a moment before Pitch opened his arms. "Come here. Give your father a hug."
She gave Hiccup a slightly uncomfortable look before letting go of his hand to hug her father. Pitch smiled,but the delighted look only lasted a split second. He looked at his daughter, and then to Hiccup, who he glared at. "What did you do?!" He demanded, sensing Mavis's fear about the baby.

He put his hands in his coat pocket when Mavis let go. After Pitch barked at him Hiccup stiffened. "W-What are you talking about?" Did he know about the baby already? That wasn't possible.

"Daddy, be nice to him," Mavis pleaded, "It was consensual and were both very excited about it."
Pitch growled, pushing Mavis aside as he stepped toward Hiccup. "Don't play dumb with me boy! You impregnated my daughter!!"

Hiccup leaned back as Pitch towered over him, casting a shadow halfway across the block. "It was an accident. But Mavis and I discussed it and were keeping the baby. I would never hurt your daughter sir."

"To think I trusted her with you!! You probably pressured her into it! My poor baby girl!" Pitch was fuming, his eyes filled with hate. He grabbed Hiccup by the throat but pulled back instantly, third degree burns covering his hand. He may jot have cried out, but he was shocked.

Hiccup choked for air when Pitch grabbed him by the neck. He couldn't help but feel internally smug when Pitch burned himself, even though his face was filled with surprise. Gasping he let out, "I..." gasp. "I didn't pressure her into anything. I love her."

"Love her?! No I love her!! I doubt you know what love is!"
Mavis jumped in front of him, glaring. "If anything I pressured him! And every second of it was perfect!" She shoved her father backwards and he stumbled. "Leave him alone!" She kept her eyes fixated on Pitch but addressed Hiccup. "Hiccup, go on home okay?"

Hiccup was surprised how strong Mavis was, even though he always knew she was capable. "I'm not leaving you Mavis." he took her hands into his, smiling at her. "I don't care what your father says. Were going to have a family and were going to be happy. I love you." he kissed her forehead, not wanting to kiss her on the lips while her father was with them.

Pitch blinked, his anger subsiding a little. "Mavis," he said, trying his best to keep his voice down, "You're too young to have a family. You need to rethink this darling."

Hiccup scowled. squeezing Mavis's hand. "She's old enough to make her own decisions. We've discussed this and were keeping the baby. Whether or not you can be a part of his or her life is up to Mavis."

Pitch flicked his wrist, sending Hiccup flying backwards. "I don't believe I was speaking to you."
"HICCUP!!" Mavis screamed, trying to run to him but Pitch held her back.
'And there's more than one. Just so you know," he hissed through clenched teeth, "Three to be exact. Triplets run in our family don't they Mavis?"
She shot Hiccup an apologetic look. She hadn't known there was more than one, but she was scared there may be and pitch of coarse had sensed that, giving him the knowledge he needed to frighten her further.

Hiccup fell back with a loud groan, his back almost felt like it was on fire. It reminded him of when Jack had sent him flying against a tree. He struggled to get up before looking at Mavis with confusion. "Three? W-Were having three?" Hiccup once again felt like he would faint, but his anger towards Pitch distracted him. "Let her go Pitch. You can't control her. She's not a child anymore."

"I swear I didn't know!!" She whimpered, sitting on the ground and rocking back and forth. Pitch knelt next to her, rubbing her back. "There there darling.. Look whAt you did Hiccup! You've upset her further."
