Meanwhile Hiccup had been at the ice cream parlor getting a vanilla cone before he headed home when his phone rang. "Hello?" He heard Rapunzel's voice followed by some shouting and a bit of a scuffle. At the sound of Mavis's voice he relaxed, fearing maybe something was wrong. But the comfort didn't last long due to the nervousness in her voice. "Hey Mavis. What's wrong?"

She laughed nervously, twirling a strand of raven hair around her finger. She felt like shifting into flea so she could hide and glared at Rapunzel. "Um.. Well were sort of.. I'm kind of.. I'm pregnant Hiccup."

There was silence before a light chuckle escaped Hiccup. "Oh gods Mavis you scared me. Don't joke about that I almost had a heart attack." he held his chest and he loosened his tight grip on the phone. "Rapunzel set you up to this didn't she?"

"It's not a joke!" She insisted feeling like she would vomit. "I wouldn't joke about that. It wouldnt be funny. Punz took me to the store get a test and everything. It was positive.i didn't want to tell you until I was sure.. Please don't be angry at me. If your going to leave, fine. I don't blame you. Just.. Don't yell." Her voice cracked several times and it was clear she was crying again. She couldn't help it.

Hiccup's knees began to shake violently. It took all his willpower not to crumble to the floor. "This is really happening. You're really pregnant." his voice cracked towards the end. Hiccup's throat went dryer than sheet paper. "Mavis, listen to me, i'm not mad at you. I'm not going to yell. Are you at Rapunzel's house? I'll be right over."

She nodded, then realized he couldn't hear an action. "Y-Yeah.. I am.." The thought of seeing him made Mavis want to hide more and she pulled her hood up again and drew her knees against her chest.

Rapunzel sat down beside Mavis and wrapped an arm around her while Hiccup made his way there. "It'll be alright." she tried to comfort Mavis. The silence was broken by the sound of a loud knocking at the door.

Mavis stood up and braced herself before opening the door. She kept her eyes on her feet, too scared to look up."Hey," she whispered, her voice barely audible so she gave a small wave instead.

"I'm gonna go." she said, grabbing her keys and heading out the door.

"Seriously!? What kind of question is that?" She narrowed her eyes, placing a hand on her stomach. Her hand moved in a circular motion. The thought of a small child growing in her stomach made her smile a little. She was terrified but still excited. "I can't just abandon him.. Her.. Whatever."

Hiccup nodded his head. "Mavis, I was just asking. I wasn't asking you to abandon him or her. I was just saying there were other options." he smacked his head, sighing. "God's i'm making it worse." he took her hands. "No matter what I'll be there for you."
