Hans sat in one of the brightly colored bean bag chairs of the kids section of the library, reading children's fairytales. He really didn't care what others thought of this. They reminded him of his best friend. She had always loved these books.

Hiccup was glad he had found his gloves at his home. Re-organizing for the baby rooms somehow caused him to misplace them. The day was so bleak and boring. Mavis was busy at home and Rapunzel was out with Astrid. It seemed everyone had somewhere to be but him. So Hiccup made for the library, enjoying the fresh smell of new books.

Hans glanced up from reading a fairytale called Haboji as he heard someone enter the library.

Hiccup noticed Hans immediately. Hiccup knew about everyone in Discord so it was easy to spot newcomers. He shot a friendly smile Hans's way.

Hiccup walked towards him, feeling a rare sense of nervousness approaching a new visitor to Discord. "Hi. I do this a lot with new citizens. Just wanted to say welcome to Discord." he held out his hand to shake.

Hans shook the hand, setting down the Icelandic fairytale. "Thanks." He gave him a smile. "I'm Hans, Nice to meet you."

Hiccup couldn't help but look Hans over. He was very attractive, with fair skin, green eyes and light freckles. Catching himself staring too long Hiccup chuckled, face going bright red with embarrassment. "Heh, nice to meet you." he scratched at the back of his head. "Whatcha reading there?"

Hans grinned, following Hiccup's thoughts but not commenting. "It's an Icelandic Fairytale."

Hiccup eyed the books next to him to distract himself. "Is it any good? I don't usually read fairy tales often."

"It's alright, it's more a sentimental thing. I used to read these to my best friend when we were little."

Hiccup frowned, looking back to Hans. "Sorry..." he cleared his throat. "Have you read the Percy Jackson series? They're technically not fairy tales."
