Rapunzel looked back to everything she had done to Astrid. Sleeping with her while she was with Pitch, not speaking to her for days, coming back only to show her what a creature she has become. "I'm a monster." she whispered so quiet she could barely hear herself. "You've always been there for me."

Because Astrid was part dragon, she could hear the words clearly. "I'm going to help you Rapunzel. You're going to be okay." She gripped her shoulders, shaking her gently. The two had been through a lot but Astrid knew Rapunzel was going through a lot so she didnt hold anything against her. "Understand?"

Rapunzel nodded, smiling at Astrid. "Astrid." her words came out almost like a sigh. Rapunzel inched forward and kissed Astrid lightly on the lips, keeping her eyes closed even as she pulled away. "I love you."

She was stunned for a moment as she processed the words. "I love you too Rapunzel," she whispered softly, "I really do."

Rapunzel took Astrid's hands, although hers was cold the warmth of Astrid's brought a smile to her face. "Can I stay with you tonight? I don't want to be alone." her own desperation made Rapunzel cringe slightly.

She shivered at the coldness of Rapunzels hands but didnt pull away. "You can stay here as long as you need to. I only have one room so you can sleep in my bed with me or there's the couch. My bed is a lot more comfortable than the couch." She smiled, squeezing her hands. "But it's up to you."

Rapunzel sighed happily, lingering in Astrid's gaze. "Could I sleep with you?" Rapunzel just wanted to be in Astrid's arms. Normally women in this situation wanted to be alone. Rapunzel was the opposite.

Rapunzel crashed her lips onto Astrid's again. Her overwhelming desire to be loved took over her thoughts. Astrid gave Rapunzel her trust, something she'd rarely gotten before. It meant everything to Rapunzel.

The action took Astrid by surprise but she didnt pull away. She knew Rapunzel was going through a hard time and she would do anything in her power to help. She twisted a strand of Rapunzel's hair around her finger just like she had the first time they met.
