Hiccup stepped in as well. His gloves were gone for some reason. Rapunzel wasn't there to explain so he retreated to the coffee shop. Some people politely opened the door for him to step inside. However his shoulder bumped into one of the people. It had no effect so Hiccup assumed Jack was there. And lucky enough he was.
