Hiccup pursed his lips. The only experience he got with flirting was with Jack and Mavis. Wait, was he actually thinking about flirting with Hans? He was with Mavis...But he couldn't help but grin shyly at Hans again. "How much of Discord have you seen? If you want sometime I could show you around."

"Not that much yet. Mostly just the dark side. That'd be nice."

Hiccup nodded, his lips tightly pursed. "Yeah....Maybe...heh, we could hang out later?"

For the thousandth time he nodded. "That's a surprise. Everyone here is so friendly to newcomers. Well, a majority of us."

"I've met a few people, just, wouldn't call them friends yet necessarily."

Hiccup shrugged, resting his back on the books. "I've got a handful of great friends. I prefer them over a million of fake ones. I hope you get to meet them."

Hiccup was still red in the face despite feeling relatively relaxed. "Do you..have any book suggestions?" he asked, trying to make conversation and distract himself.

"Depends, what kind of books do you like?" Hans asked, tilting his head at him.

Hiccup tapped at his chin, grinning at him. "I like action and adventure, books with dragons, and embarrassing I enjoy a good romance when there's nothing left to read."

"Hmmm," Hans hummed, biting his lip in thought. "Maybe Cinder? It's a futuristic retelling of Cinderella."

Hiccup clicked his tongue against his teeth. "I think iv'e heard of that book. Futuristic and steampunk stories are a fun genre to read during boring car rides of sitting at home. This might be me but the best kind of places for reading are near the window during the rain or by a fireplace."

"That's a pretty good place to read," Hans agreed.

Hiccup held his hands behind his back, rocking on his heels. "Um...Hans..do you..want to get together some time this week? I could show you around, introduce you to my friends. It would be fun." he tried to sound casual.
