Hiccup loved books. They were like a private getaway from Discord. He stretch up the surprisingly high book shelf on a ladder attempting to reach a fantasy story. The dragon on the spine intrigued him.

Hiccup nearly fell back, but quickly regained himself and snatched the book. Without turning around he mumbled, "Thanks." Hiccup was still slightly irritated from the tree incident at the graveyard. "Sorry about Rapunzel I guess. She's kind of independent."

Hiccup shrugged, taking the book in his hand and flipping though the pages. "Ever thought of getting newer books? I'm a fan of classics but aren't you like...full of unlimited cosmic power? So you can conjure up anything you want?" Hiccup paused. "Sorry, forgot. No questions allowed."

Hiccup turned around. Suddenly intrigued. Hiccup and Rapunzel knew very little about Jack except for the fact he was a psycho. Hiccup knew he was once alive but knew nothing of his past. "Really? When you were alive you...liked reading? Anything else? I've always liked swimming though I can't dive to save my life." Hiccup wanted to know more about Jack, though he didn't want to stretch hid boundaries.

Hiccup shrugged. "I don't doubt it's bad. If it irked you enough to do all this." Hiccup set down the book. "But I doubt no one wants to know what made you this way. I'm curious enough, though you probably don't trust me enough seeing how I was nearly diced by a tree earlier." He smirked to himself. His back didn't ache anymore however the event still hadn't been a fun one.

Hiccup frowned. "My mother's gone. But she wouldn't want me to let it cloud my better judgement. Her death is partly the reason I moved here."
